Sonam Kapoor has long stood out as one of Bollywood’s most consistent style icons, with a wardrobe to match. The actor and global fashion darling once gave Vogue’s All Access a peek into her sprawling closet, and true to her reputation, it’s nothing short of a couture wonderland.

As she walks us through her curated collection of shoes, Sonam casually name-drops the crème de la crème of designer footwear. “Basically I wear a lot of Ferragamo, Louboutin, Manolos, Dolce Gabbana and Aquazzura,” she says, holding up a pair of red-bottomed heels. “These are one of my favourite pairs of shoes. They’re Louboutins.”

Reminiscing about a shopping trip, she shares, “I was in Paris when I bought these, and I was shopping with one of my best friends. He’s Manish Arora. Manish insisted I wear it because he said I look really hot in it.”

And it seems some of her pieces are truly one of a kind. “These were made especially for me,” she reveals, referring to a pair from her Dolce & Gabbana outfit at Cannes. She also shows off a whimsical pair gifted by Sophia Webster: “These are actually my favourite shoes of this season, and I love these shoes. I love the little butterflies…”

“It’s a Burberry jacket. I really wanted this, and there was only one left in a warehouse, and I think I must have called like a hundred and fifty times, and I got this gorgeous, gorgeous jacket!” she says excitedly, sharing how far she went for the jacket of her dreams.

Indian designer Payal Pratap also makes an appearance in her wardrobe, with Sonam calling one of her creations “one of my favourite dresses from her collection.” But what truly stands out is a piece with cinematic significance. “This special thing is actually an outfit of mine from my film Aisha which is actually my personal outfit, but I wore it in Aisha.”

Sonam’s accessories are no afterthought. She opens up drawers of treasures that include Dolce & Gabbana trinkets, Dior pieces, and a delicate Gemini necklace from Valentino. “This is a vintage bow-tie from Chanel,” she says, letting us in on her love for pieces with heritage and history.
