The Vogue Women of the Year Awards 2017 ceremony ended with much aplomb and glamour, and that’s now transferred on to the cover of their October edition. Celebrating their 10th anniversary, Vogue India has come up with three glitzy special covers for next month. As successful and beautiful women such as Priyanka Chopra, Mithali Raj, Twinkle Khanna, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Padma Lakshmi strike sultry, confident poses on the glossy pages — you will find it increasingly difficult to decide which of the three is your favourite. Joining the beautiful ladies are the “men we love” — Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar.
Black seemed to be the central theme as all of them decided to go for sultry numbers of the same tone — while Sharma chose to go for sheer, Kapoor kept it classy with ruffles and Chopra looked the diva she is in a deep-necked black number, among others. Here is a lowdown on who wore what for the magazine’s latest cover shoot.
The funny yet feisty Mrs Funnybones decided to go for a Roberto Cavalli animal print black gown with a low-neck. She chose to leave her hair open and make up simple.
The ‘Neerja’ actor, known for her impeccable sense of style, did not disappoint at all in a black off-shoulder ruffled top and blingy pants from the house of Osman Yousefzada.
Styled by Anaita Shroff Adjania, like the rest, Sharma chose to go for a lace dress by Francesco Scognamiglio, which she teamed with a silk slip from La Perla. Giving a fierce look for the camera, she chose to keep her straight her open and accessorise with rings from Dior.
The director decided to keep it classy with a shirt from Gucci and custom-made jacket and trousers from Nikita Jaisinghani. He accessorised with a statement ring from Gucci.
The stunning model, host and author wore matching velvet sleeveless blouse and skirt from Altuzarra. With make-up by Kabuki Magic, Lakshmi decided to keep it minimal and wear her smile as an accessory.
The ‘Quantico’ actor wore a cold-shoulder silk dress from Off-White. While minimal make-up seems to be the common theme that all of them are following, Chopra decided to let her confidence and oomph take over, in the risqué number.
The ‘Supernova’ went for a biker-girl look in a leather jacket dress from Mugler. She accessorised her look with a 14 karat gold and silver ring from Amrapali.
The Indian women’s cricket team captain emphasised on how she isn’t just a talented sportsperson but also someone with an impressive sense of style in a one-shoulder, long sleeved cut-out jumpsuit from Johann Ortiz, with her hair styled by Elton Fernandez of Inega.
Shah Rukh Khan
King Khan kept it basic and sophisticated in black shirt, trousers and blazer from Raisson D’Etre.
Armed with her radiant smile, she kept it simple and classy in a lace blouse from Elie Saab that she paired with lace Valentino trousers.
