Poorna Jagannathan dons a stunning Sabyasachi sari in new trailer of ‘Never Have I Ever’
The official trailer of the finale season of the Netflix show dropped on social media on Thursday

‘Never Have I Ever’ has become a beloved coming-of-age comedy-drama series that has captured the hearts of viewers around the world. With its relatable characters, witty writing, and authentic representation of the experiences of first-generation Indian American teenagers, the show has struck a chord with audiences who have praised it for its heartwarming, hilarious, and poignant moments. As such, viewers were in for a sweet surprise on Thursday when the official trailer of the finale season of the Netflix show dropped on social media.
Apart from Devi’s adventures as she navigates the senior year catching our attention in the trailer, we were in for a pleasant surprise when we saw Poorna Jagannathan, who plays the protagonist’s mother, donning a stunning sari by famed Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
Sharing some pictures from the trailer, the actor wrote, “We saved the best for last. @neverhaveiever final season is out June 8. Sad to say goodbye to this beautiful show … and to Nalini .. but happy to leave you with our best season yet (and Nalini gets to wear @sabyasachiofficial so).”

In one of the shots, Poorna can be seen wearing a coral peach Sabyasachi sari featuring a broad golden border. It was paired with a stunning textured blouse featuring leaf appliques and embellished borders. To accessorise her look, she opted for a stone-studded choker and matching earrings. A sleek bun with glam makeup completed her look.
Poorna also posted a picture of herself wearing the sari and wrote, “Never Have I Ever final season has the best laughs, tears, and fits in history. Case in point…Nalini in Sabyasachi.”

This isn’t the first time that the American producer and actor of Indian descent has left us impressed with traditional attire. Prior to this, she was seen wearing a gorgeous custom-made printed peach sherwani by designer Anita Dongre. She accessorised it with a multi-layered neckpiece, a maang tikka, and earrings.

For Diwali last year, she also wore a strappy printed dress by Dongre featuring a plunging neckline, a midriff cutout, and a voluminous skirt. She paired the outfit with an embellished choker, maang tikka, and lavender-coloured heels.
