Let’s decode Parineeti Chopra’s Manish Malhotra wedding lehenga

Parineeti went for a traditional heavily embellished lehenga for her wedding, though she had opted for a pink Barbie-esque sari for her reception. She was carrying a double dupatta, with one acting as her veil and adorned with Raghav’s name embroidered on it in Hindi. She contrasted the ivory tones of the outfit with her diamond and Russian emerald jewels, also from Manish Malhotra’s jewellery collection.

According to Manish Malhotra World’s post on Instagram, the tone-on-tone geometrical artwork on the lehenga was crafted over 2,500 hours.

The choli and dupattas had pearl detailing on the hem, which contrasted well with the layers of diamond and emerald necklaces she was wearing. Parineeti donned a matching maang tikka and opted for massive stud earrings.

Like the ever-modern bride, the actor chose pink chooda, instead of the traditional red ones; with emerald studded kadas.

She opted for a sleek-straight hairdo and her makeup was minimal with a dewy base, a hint of a smokey eye and a nude lipstick.

As for Raghav, the groom looked incredibly trim in his ivory sherwani, which he wore with a beige safa. The safa had a gold kalagi pinned on it.

The designer Manish Malhotra also shared Parineeti’s look from her wedding, wishing the couple and hinting towards the hours it would have taken to design the actor’s wedding lehenga.

“Parineeti from our discussions of all your outfits at my Atelier and Home… our laughter and your love for tone-on-tone geometrical intricate artwork to the emerald jewellery me sketching and designing for you… all loving memories for life… you bring Joy and there is only and only love for you,” he captioned the post.

The couple’s first pictures from their reception have also been going viral on Instagram. At her reception, Parineeti looked stunning as ever in a pink sequinned sari. She kept her makeup minimal and let her sindoor shine through, along with her kundan necklace.

Her husband Raghav also looked trim in his black tuxedo, with a sleek bow tie.

Their wedding has been a star-studded affair with many people from the film and political industry in attendance. Some of the guests were Sania Mirza, Manish Malhotra, Harbhajan Singh, Bhagyashree, AAP politicians Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwat Maan and Yuva Sena President Aaditya Thackeray.
