Mismatched footwear has become a legit trend as the streets are full of people donning the same. At the fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris recently, mismatched shoes were were a common sight.

In the hit film, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Kareena Kapoor Khan aka Poo wore two different types of red sliders in the iconic song ‘You are my soniya‘. Fast forward 18 years, and what seemed like a fashion faux pas back then has slowly become a trend today as it is no longer uncommon to spot people walking the streets with mismatched footwear. At the fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris recently, mismatched shoes were spotted everywhere.

Apart from designer Maria Bernad, and TV host and stylist Janka Polliani, actor Sarah Jessica Parker has also been spotted donning mismatched heels. We must mention we loved how the Sex and the City actor teamed her ruffled fuchsia gown with a pair of yellow and pink mismatched heels. It is a trend for fashionistas who don’t shy away from being experimental. While some opt for strappy heels, others chose mules and even ankle-length boots. Recently, actor Ananya Pandey wore white sneakers with blue detailing on one and red on the other.

However, if you are going for a printed mismatch then it is best to stick to the same print in two different colours. Consider styling a printed stiletto with a wedged shoe but make sure that you pick versions featuring similar prints.
