Malaika Arora was recently spotted wearing a pair of blue extreme distressed jeans. While distressed jeans have been in fashion for quite some time now, Arora added an extra oomph to her denim look by pairing it with a lacy bralette top and a cropped denim jacket. She carried a huge tote bag and went for a pair of aviators to complete her street style look.
Hair tied into a bun and minimal makeup with a dab of pink on the lips rounded off her look well.
Talking of extreme-distressed jeans, we got reminded of “extreme cut out” jeans, a design produced by a Los Angeles based denim brand, Carmar, a few months back. The idea of extreme cut-out jeans is to feature a high rise pant with large statement cutouts on front and back. Basically, it leaves out most part of the denim except for seams and pockets. Well, at least, it looks like that.
Describing itself as a “premium denim brand catered to the free-spirited generation of today”, the brand sells its unique extreme cut-out jeans for $168, which approximately amounts to Rs 11,200. Featuring belt loops and a zipper, the brand described the jeans as “relax fit, high rise pants with large statement cutouts on front and back”.

Last year, Japanese designer Meiko Ban, showcased another unique and bizzare jeans design – called Thong Jeans – at the Amazon Fashion Week in Tokyo as a part of his 2018 Spring/Summer Collection.
Named as Thibaut jeans, they were all tattered and not much was left except the seams, with the front and back panels of both legs taken off leaving a thong-like design, thus, taking the concept of cut-out jeans to a whole new level.
