It needs no retelling that Kalki Koechlin rarely plays it safe, when it comes to choosing outfits. The actor’s sartorial picks are, more often than not, chic and comfortable – they are also quite quirky. Things were no different this time at the Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image (MAMI) where Koechlin on the opening day looked ravishing in a Scottish checkered structured sari by the designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.
The golden embellished ensemble looked great on her. Styled by Who Wore What When, the look was accessorised with earrings from the label Zoya and rings from Diosa by Darshan Dave. We loved the make-up by Pratiksha Nair. especially the ruby lips.
The actor for another appearance opted for a shirt and pant combo from Emporio Armani. The blue shirt, paired with black pants and the shimmery shrug with the funky pink belt detailing gave an androgynous feel to the whole look and who better than Kalki to pull that off. The look was accessorised with earrings from Outhouse and shoes from Zara.
Prior to this, she was spotted donning a gorgeous bandhini kaftan jumpsuit by Nupur Kanoi. Styled by Who Wore What When again, the look was rounded out with a nude palette of make-up and silver earrings. The blue and green combination looked great and the belt-like detailing at the waist stood out.
