Gucci’s cruise 2024 show will take place at Seoul’s Gyeongbokgung Palace on May 16, showcasing the brand’s 25-year presence in South Korea. Originally scheduled for May 15, the show has been moved to commemorate Gucci’s inaugural store opening in Seoul in 1998. The event will be staged in front of Geunjeongjeon, the principal hall of Gyeongbokgung Palace, renowned for hosting royal ceremonies and welcoming foreign dignitaries during the Joseon Dynasty (1392 to 1910).
The cruise collection has been crafted by Gucci’s in-house team, as newly appointed creative director Sabato De Sarno’s inaugural designs for the brand will be unveiled in September, following the departure of Alessandro Michele in November.
Bhatt recently made headlines with her maiden appearance at the prestigious MET Gala in New York City. Speaking about her MET Gala experience and collaboration, Bhatt reportedly said, “The little girl in me was just making sure that I don’t fall down on the red carpet and that I was getting enough time to pose, take a breath, and enjoy the moment. It’s not about giving yourself too much pressure and taking it seriously. It’s a massive and big deal but it was also about having fun and light on the inside so that your face looks lit up and happy. That’s something I was focusing on. Having said that, I really had a lovely time.”
