After festive white, hot pink seems to be the new choice of Bollywood divas. Though some fashionistas like Esha Gupta and Sonakshi Sinha nailed the looks in bright pink, others failed miserably and ended up looking garish and gaudy. We know that the colour is a little difficult to handle but these celebs completely missed the mark. Take a look:
For her Diwali bash, Rani Mukerji was seen in a bright pink long kurta with a matching lehenga from Raw Mango with gold embroidery on it. The actress accessorised her outfit with a layered necklace, gold maang tikka and kadas. Put together, we think the 39-year-old went overboard with her styling. In other words, she looked gaudy and the glaring colour really hurt our eyes. See pic:
For a promotional event, Shraddha Kapoor was seen wearing a hot pink one-shouldered, balloon sleeve top with straight-fit pants in the same colour from Atsu Sekhose. She could have easily gone minimal with the accessories, given the bright colour of her outfit, but she chose to pair it with pink and blue statement earrings from Valliyan instead. That she chose to wear matching strappy sandals and earrings was in no way a respite from the colour-attack that her extremely bright outfit gave. Moreover, the balloon sleeve did no good to her petite frame, nor did the broad folds on her top and we think the outfit is a definite fashion miss.
From fringes to frills, Neha Dhupia’s outfits are always a little hard to digest. But this time the actor did give us quite a shock when she stepped out in a hot pink pantsuit by Riva. How an outfit so garish can come across as so bland is anyone’s guess but that’s how the pantsuit in its almost eye-blinding grandeur looked. The outfit could have definitely used some better styling, maybe a belt cinched at the waist to accentuate it and break the monotony of the garish pink.
Bipasha Basu donned a pink cacti -printed lehenga designed by Masaba Gupta and the Plain Jane look of the actor failed to impress us. An off shoulder number with ruffle detail, we think the lehenga looked bland and Basu could have used more jewellery to accessorise her outfit with, besides the statement earrings she sported.
We think the actors went way too wrong this time. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
