Like all her fashion outings, Deepika Padukone has hit it out of the park with her pregnancy style too. And the cherry on the cake is her maternity photoshoot which has left everyone spellbound. Shot in black-and-white, the pictures featuring the parents-to-be have taken the Internet by storm with their comments section flooded with love, blessings, and messages like: “Mother is mothering”, “Imagine the kid saying, ‘My mom is Deepika Padukone'”, “Absolutely breathtaking photos, you can clearly see the joy from both of you”, and “so so beautiful …”
While at it, let’s also take a look at other Bollywood celebs whose pregnancy photoshoots captivated us.
The Bajirao Mastani actors were all smiles as they posed for their maternity shoot ahead of the due date. While Ranveer Singh looked classy in a sweatshirt, Deepika Padukone was seen in many looks: a ribbed cardigan, black bralette and loose denims, an oversized black blazer switching out the cardigan, a black mesh dress paired with Mary Jane pumps and last but not the least, a stunning sheer black outfit from Sabyasachi’s New York 2022 collection. The mom-to-be let her hair loose as she completed all her looks with her bedazzling smile.
Kareena Kapoor Khan kept it sporty cool in plain athleisure for her maternity photoshoot. The Bollywood diva wore a black sports bra, grey joggers and paired it with a crisp loose white shirt. Beach curls and kohl rimmed eyes completed her ensemble as she stared at the camera caressing her baby bump.
Bipasha Basu and husband Karan Singh Grover posed for cameras with the baby bump in focus twinning in a pair of white linen shirts. Loose hair, glowy skin, subtle nude makeup and radiant smiles added a touch of glee to their pictures.
The Khoobsurat star loves the camera, and the camera loves her right back! Ahead of her delivery, Sonam Kapoor redefined maternity shoots in a bespoke off-white two piece set by designer duo Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla’s estive and bridal couture collection. “On the cusp of motherhood and at the brink of my birthday, I’m choosing to dress how I feel – pregnant & powerful, bold & beautiful…,” she captioned the post. She also thanked the designers for “draping women in outfits that bring out the most fierce and the most sensual parts of their femininity”.
Richa Chadha and husband Ali Faizal took to the shores of a beach for their pregnancy photoshoot. Shot in black and white, the couple held hands and smiled in profile as the camera did its magic.
In the caption of the Instagram post, Heeramandi actor shared how it was an exceptionally stormy day and the electricity went out and they had to sit nursing hot cups of tea during the power cut. In the pictures, Richa can be seen wearing a long black dress, with hoop earrings and loose flowing hair, with Ali complementing her in a t-shirt and trousers to keep it casually chic.
