Fashion designer Shilpi Gupta says, “Monochrome clothing, where a single colour is worn from head to toe, creates a slimming effect while prolonging the body.”

Suitable for any occasion, this look can be easily recreated. Gupta suggests visiting a nearby fashion boutique and shops where this look “can be recreated within budget”. You can alter the style of your dress to fit its length and neckline, or you can strategically amp it up with classic stilettos or strappy heels.” For its luminous finish, satin is the ideal fabric for gowns, but you can select from other options such as charmeuse, brocade, or even lace for more texture.
