In the world of cricket, Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech might be the most talked-about couple at the moment, but Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma come a close second. The duo has often been supportive of each other’s work, so much so that Kohli’s tweet defending Sharma when she was being attacked for his poor performance has proved to be the Golden Tweet of the year, according to Twitter. But over the past week, what has piqued our interest is their style quotient.
While Kohli’s been known to have an amazing sense of style, Sharma isn’t far behind. And if you have noticed, both of them like to keep it casually chic, keeping comfort first. Recently, on their way to attend Yuvraj and Hazel’s wedding ceremony in Goa, the duo were spotted at the airport where the actress kept it simple in an olive Payal Khandwala jumpsuit, a Fendi monster backpack, pulled back hair and a pair of white sneakers. While, the cricketer was seen doing an all-white look with tan sandals and a well-groomed beard. Such easy, off-duty looks! Don’t you agree?
Their fashion game was strong even on their return to Mumbai, where Sharma chose a button-down shirt and a pair of H&M jeans, while Kohli opted for an asymmetrical tee, which he teamed with a pair of classic denims. Can’t find faults here too. But it’s not just casual looks, the two know how to clean up, equally well too.
At the wedding in Goa, the actress was seen in a beautiful black and gold Sabyasachi lehenga, which she complemented with chandelier earrings by Shillpa Purii and bangle by Johri by Amaze Jewels, a neat updo and a black bindi. Perfect! Meanwhile, Kohli was a picture of panache in a blue bandhgala kurta and white churidar.
However, nothing can top their appearance at Manish Malhotra’s 50th birthday bash – where they looked really hot. Sharma wore a simple one-shoulder fitted maxi dress by Vizyon and added a little bit of bling to the outfit with jewellery from Amrapali, while Kohli looked dapper in a black suit, complete with a black tie.
