Diwali might be over but the ethnic wears are here to stay. There are weddings to attend and places to go to. In case you are looking for some inspiration, the celebrities are here to help.  Alia Bhatt, who attended the Kolkata Film Festival, stunned in a custom-made Sabyasachi creation. Styled by celebrity stylist Ami Patel, the Raazi actor donned a  ruby silk mashru kurta that was embroidered with tilla work. This was paired with a velvet gharara and a hand-embroidered organza dupatta. The noodle straps added a modern twist to the ensemble.

Hair neatly tied in a bun, the attire was accessorised with gold earrings and a dash of red lipstick.

Bhatt almost always pulls off ethnic wear with elan. We still remember the black lehenga by Shyamal and Bhumika she had donned at Shah Rukh Khan’s party. She looked gorgeous. Dark kohl eyes and golden jhumkas completed the look.

Parineeti Chopra, on the other hand, went all blue. Styled by celebrity stylist Sanjana Batra, the Namaste England actor donned an ensemble by Payal Khandwala. One half of her outfit – a crop top with a cape was rather interesting. This was paired with a gorgeous lehenga. Smokey eyes, statement neckpiece and hair parted from the side completed the look.

In case you feel you will not be able to pull off the top that the actor wore, you can go the conventional way. However, since the lehenga is so intricately embroidered, keep the crop top simple.
