Adobe unveils game-changing interactive dress transforming fashion

At Adobe MAX 2023 in Los Angeles, Adobe took the fashion world by storm with the unveiling of Project Primrose, an innovative and interactive dress that can almost instantly transform its design and style.

Leading the presentation was research scientist Christine Dierk, whose demonstration left the audience in sheer amazement as they witnessed the dress’s extraordinary capabilities.

Dierk, the brilliant mind behind this groundbreaking garment, both introduced and modeled the dress on stage, referring to it as a “digital dress that brings fabric to life.”

While wearing the interactive dress, she said, “Unlike traditional clothing, which is static, Primrose allows me to refresh my look in a moment.” The strapless knee-length creation was adorned with numerous small, scale-like screens.

As she mentioned the word “moment,” Dierk triggered a change in the dress, transitioning its colour from cream to metallic silver. This transformation enthralled the audience at the conference.

Following the initial colour change, the dress underwent several more iterations, with its scales shifting to create various patterns, ranging from chevron-like stripes to diamond designs.

American actor and comedian Adam Devine, who co-hosted the segment, humorously remarked, “Red carpets are going to be way sassy.”

At the core of Project Primrose lies the vision of crafting a wearable, adaptable, and flexible dress using non-emissive textiles.
