Ahead of the wedding, Alekha had shared glimpses from their intimate mehendi ceremony on social media. The couple twirled in pastel peach outfits—Jain in a sherwani and Advani in a lehenga with diamond jewellery. The celebrations saw Kareena and Ranbir joining in the revelry, dancing alongside the newlyweds.

A love story that stood the test of time

Last September, Jain popped the question to Advani in a picturesque beachside proposal in the Maldives. At their engagement a few weeks later, Jain gave an emotional speech that captured the Internet’s attention. He confessed, “I have always loved Alekha and always wanted to be with her.”

However, their journey to marriage was not without its share of hurdles. Recalling their love story with a touch of humour, the groom admitted that Advani had kept him waiting for years.

“I have always loved her since then, and I have always wanted to be with her, but never got a chance to be with her. So, she sent me on this long journey of years through ‘time-pass’. But at the end of the day, it was worth the wait because I get to marry this beautiful, beautiful woman, who looks like a dream.”

“I love you, and it was worth the wait. It’s a secret, I have always loved her. I have done time-pass for 20 years of my life. But now I’m with you, baby,” Jain said, as his friends and family cheered on.
