A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. No one knows this better than travel blogger Megan Sullivan who has captured 120 one-second shots of Nepal during her three-week-long trip. In these shots, Sullivan has chronicled her journey through the Three Passes of Everest where nature is at its best. But that’s not all. The short video is also captures people she has met on her way and the cuisine she’s eaten.
This is not the first time Sullivan has tried something similar. She also documented her trip to Hong Kong in one second shots. You may ask, ‘What’s so different about her travel tales’? Yes, it’s true that you will find plenty of travellers doing the same thing as Sullivan but her story is different than the rest. This travel blogger was diagnosed with skin cancer in 2015 and two weeks later she visited all seven wonders of the world in only 13 days. Pretty inspiring, right?
At present, Sullivan’s motto in life is really simple: “Live more now”. In her blog, the enthusiastic traveller said, “After the worst month of my life, I started to rethink how I was living my life. I came to this amazing realization… that the only thing stopping me from having everything that I ever wanted in life was simple: me.” “I would always say, “there isn’t enough time or money” but those were just excuses. What I was really afraid of was failure. I needed to stop thinking that my goals were impossible and start thinking that I have the power to decide how I am going to live my life everyday.”
Ever since, she’s been taking chances to experience the greatest adventure of her life.
