To all the die-hard Harry Potter fans who never stopped dreaming of visiting the wizarding world, your dreams are set to come true. Singapore’s Changi airport in association with the Warner Brothers has transformed its terminals into life-sized recreations of the popular sights like Hogsmeade Village and Diagon Alley from JK Rowling’s Harry Potter book and film series.
Terminal 1 of the airport of this world-famous Southeast Asian holiday destination has been transformed into a Fantastic Beasts-themed set, in a bid to promote the release of its prequel film, The Crimes of Grindelwald which is currently in cinemas now. The terminal 2 of the airport boasts a replica of the famous Whomping Willow Tree while the third terminal is transformed into Diagon Alley, featuring Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes and Quality Quidditch Supplies.
Apart from these picturesque spots at the airport, visitors can also snap selfies alongside Ron Weasley’s flying Ford Anglia from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, as well as strike a pose with the portraits of famous wizards in the halls of Hogwarts. The visitors can also sit atop a broom to pose for a picture in front of a Quidditch shop. The shop also offers various wizardry challenges and activities for the amusement of the visitors.
In addition, there will be daily snow and light shows, keeping the festive holiday season in mind. A wide range of Harry Potter universe merchandise has also been put on display at the airport. The wizarding world holiday will run until mid-February 2019 from 10 am to 10 pm daily.
