Lambah to design installation for Russian museum

She will be designing an installation for the central hall of the oldest museum in Russia, Kunstkamera, also one of the oldest museums in the world, set up by Peter the Great.

Conservation architect Abha Lambah was selected to participate in the St Petersburg Biennale of Museum Design 2016 and is the only Indian ever to have an installation at the prestigious show.

She will be designing an installation for the central hall of the oldest museum in Russia, Kunstkamera, also one of the oldest museums in the world, set up by Peter the Great. “It is truly an honour to share stage with design legends participating in the Biennale such as Daniel Leibskind and Ralph Appelbaum,” said Lambah.

The second Biennale of Museum Design at St Petersburg will take place from September 30 to October 30 and is an international project launched by the city’s Culture Committee and PRO ARTE Foundation in partnership with the State Hermitage Museum.
