Supreme Court news: The Supreme Court had partially modified a high court order, finalising a total monetary compensation of Rs one crore for the widow of a paediatrician shot dead on duty. A bench of Justices J K Maheshwari and Atul S Chandurkar was hearing a plea of the state of Uttarakhand challenging the high court order that awarded the compensation to the widow.
