In IIM Ahmedabad’s summer placement, Boston Consulting Group emerged as the top recruiter with 20 offers for the PGP class of 2020. The placement was held in three clusters where advisory consulting, investment banking and markets, management consulting, consumer services, manufacturing and others participated. In the second cluster, 53 firms participated in the process where Amazon was the top recruiter with 14 offers, as per a press release. Samsung Electronics made the highest number of offers in the consumer electronics cohort while the top recruiters in the Consumer Goods space included AB InBev, HUL and Saint Gobain with 7 offers each.
Airtel was the top recruiter in the consumer services cohort with 8 offers and most offers in the general management and leadership space was Aditya Birla Group with 9 offers.
The firms that participated in cluster three comprised of eight cohorts – BFSI, consumer technology, core manufacturing, enterprise tech, food and dairy, IT consulting, pharma and healthcare, renewable energy and green tech.
Over 40 firms participated in the cluster. Microsoft was the top recruiter with 10 offers. Key recruiters in the BFSI cohort were American Express and FinIQ with 8 offers each. Consumer Tech cohort comprised of firms like Info Edge, OLX and Saavn. Core manufacturing cohort included firms like Adani Group, Bajaj Auto, Gilbarco-Veeder Root,
Nissan, TVS Motors, Skaps and Vedanta.
