Tripura Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Monday announced that BJP workers in Khowai will be rewarded with Rs 2 lakh if their booth records the highest percentage of voting in the Assembly segment.

There are 52 polling booths in the Khowai Assembly segment under the East Tripura Lok Sabha constituency. Voting for the East Tripura seat will be held in the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections on April 26.

Speaking to BJP supporters while overseeing the party’s poll preparedness, Nath said, “I will personally reward the booth committee that would notch up the highest percentage of voting in Khowai.”
