(Source: ANI) Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced the dates for the 2027 Haridwar Kumbh Mela during a meeting with Acharyas and saints of all 13 Akharas on the banks of the Ganga in Haridwar.

CM Dhami sought suggestions from the Akharas and said the state would prioritise their traditions and requirements while planning for the Kumbh. He said the government aims to make the arrangements more systematic and aligned with expectations from the saint community.
Kumbh Mela bathing schedule key dates
The Chief Minister released the bathing schedule as follows:
- 14 January – Makar Sankranti
- 06 February – Mauni Amavasya
- 11 February – Basant Panchami
- 20 February – Magh Purnima
- 06 March – Mahashivratri (Amrit Snan)
- 08 March – Phalgun Amavasya (Amrit Snan)
- 07 April – Nav Samvatsar
- 14 April – Mesh Sankranti (Amrit Snan)
- 15 April – Ram Navami
- 20 April – Chaitra Purnima
Kumbh Mela 2027 preparations and security
CM Dhami said the state has started large-scale planning for the Kumbh 2027 and will coordinate with central and state security agencies. Local police, NDRF, PAC, the Health Department and the Fire Department will handle safety and emergency response. Officials who have previously managed Kumbh melas will help guide crowd and traffic planning.
