Six killed, 25 injured after mini-bus plunges into gorge in J-K

The ill-fated vehicle was on way from Udhampur to Ramnagar at that time. However, when it reached Karowa village, driver lost control over the steering leading to accident.

Six passengers were killed and 25 others injured as a mini bus in which they were travelling rolled down into a deep gorge in Ramnagar area of Udhampur district on Saturday afternoon.

The ill-fated vehicle was on way from Udhampur to Ramnagar at that time. However, when it reached Karowa village, driver lost control over the steering leading to accident. Four of the people died on the spot, while two others succumbed to injuries on way to hospital, sources said, adding that condition of five of them was stated to be critical.

Police have registered a case and are looking into the matter.
