Skip McDonald’s, eat Indori sev: BJP’s Vijayvargiya on how to counter Trump
'If youth decide that America needs to be taught a lesson, then we'll have to change our preferences, we'll have to change our likings'
He added: “Why should we eat Subway sandwiches, what's the need? If we learn to love our food, our clothing, our religious texts, and our soil, then we can make the entire world bow down."
Kailash Vijayvargiya statement: Senior BJP leader and Madhya Pradesh’s Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said Saturday that US President Donald Trump was a “fufa (uncle)” who threatened India by imposing tariffs, and urged youngsters to “boycott McDonald’s and Pizza Hut, and switch to local food to teach America a lesson”.
Vijayvargiya was speaking at Indore Youth Parliament, hosted at a local school in Indore.
“Nowadays, if we want to eat or drink something, we feel good sitting at McDonald’s. When this Uncle Trump tries to threaten us by imposing tariffs… The youth population in India is equal to the entire population of America. If the youth decide that America needs to be taught a lesson, then we’ll have to change our preferences, we’ll have to change our likings,” Vijayvargiya said.
