Sambhal: Another temple unlocked, ASI team to visit the first one today
Around 50 people gathered outside the newly opened Balaji temple on Wednesday to offer prayers. Statues of deities were found inside the temple, police officers present at the site said.

(File Photo) Authorities in Sambhal opened the locks of another second temple, believed to be around 32 years old, on Tuesday in the Sarai Tarin area, around 2 km from the Shahi Jama Masjid where a survey was done on court orders recently.
Around 50 people gathered outside the newly opened Balaji temple on Wednesday to offer prayers. Statues of Hindu gods and goddesses — Krishna, Radha and Hanuman — were found inside the temple, police officers present at the site said.
This is the second temple unlocked by the district administration in Sambhal in the last few days.
On Saturday, the district administration had reopened a temple at Khaggu Sarai, claiming to have “stumbled upon” it during an ongoing drive against power theft. It was reportedly shut since 1978.
