On the eve of India’s 78th Independence Day, Grammy-winning composer Ricky Kej unveiled a spectacular new rendition of the Indian National Anthem, featuring an impressive collaboration of artists and a Guinness World Record.

Kej shared the release of the anthem on social media platform X with the caption, “Honored to share my epic rendition of our National Anthem of India (Bharat)… We even won a Guinness World record.”

This rendition brings together top classical musicians from both North and South India, including renowned figures like Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Amaan & Ayaan Ali Bangash, and Rahul Sharma.

It also features the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra from the UK and a choir of 14,000 tribal children from the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences.

Kej’s project is more than just a musical achievement; it symbolizes unity and diversity. The video, which includes a performance by a 100-piece British orchestra, features 14,000 children forming the map of India and the word “Bharat” in both Hindi and English.

In a statement to ANI, Kej reflected on the project’s significance: “The national anthem was the first piece of music I ever learnt as a child. We brought together the best classical musicians from India to create a beautiful interpretation, and organized 14,000 students to sing the anthem in four-part harmonies.”

The achievement follows Kej’s previous success in 2023, where he led the largest-ever Symphony Orchestra performance of the Indian National Anthem at Abbey Road Studios, London.

Kej’s new rendition is a tribute to every Indian and aims to inspire patriotism and national pride.
