A vehicle,allegedly used by BSP leader Intezaar Ahmad Abidi,on the day of arson at Congress State President Rita Bahuguna Joshi’s house has been recovered by the police,official sources said here on Monday.
The vehicle,bearing registration number of Varanasi,was spotted outside Joshi’s residence on July 13,when her house was set on fire after she allegedly made derogatory remarks against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati in Moradabad,they said. “We have recovered a vehicle and are probing further
about its ownership,” a police official said.
The visuals of vehicles were taken by some electronic media channels when alleged BSP workers were trying to flee from the scene after setting Joshi’s house on fire. BSP leader Abidi was seen moving in the same vehicle by some channels.
