New look post office opens in Srinagar

As part of transformation plan for post offices in Jammu and Kashmir,the Department of Posts today dedicated fully-computerised Jawahar Nagar Post Office with modern facilities to the public.

As part of transformation plan for post offices in Jammu and Kashmir,the Department of Posts today dedicated fully-computerised Jawahar Nagar Post Office with modern facilities to the public.

Suneeta Trivedi,Member,Postal Services Board,New Delhi,inaugurated the post office which will provide all facilities including speed post,letter post and savings bank,a DoP spokesman said.

Chief Postmaster General,J&K Circle,John Samuel said three new post offices would be inaugurated at Nowpora Uri,Attina Beerwah and Cha-Lungnakin Zanskar during the current month.

“The department is planning to set up new post offices at SKIMS and NIT in Srinagar,” he said.
