Indo-Nepal border has been sealed ahead of last phase of Lok Sabha polls to be held in Uttarakhand keeping in view the political unrest.

Indo-Nepal border has been sealed ahead of last phase of Lok Sabha elections to be held on Wednesday in Uttarakhand keeping in view the political unrest in the neighbouring country,official sources said in Dehradun.

The Indo-Nepal border was sealed at 1700 hours on Monday evening for 48 hours,they said.

According to the sources,Maoist activities along the Indo-Nepal border may increase keeping in view the political developments following the resignation of Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda,specially during the election time in the state. Uttarakhand shares 276 km long border with Nepal.
