A section of the Gujjar community today announced to revive its agitation demanding five per cent reservation and withdrawal of cases against community members in Rajasthan.

The group, led by Ramvir Singh Bidhudi, announced that it will stage a mahapadav or sit-in near Arania railway station in Dausa district from tomorrow if the government did not meet their demands by tonight.

Five per cent reservation to Gujjars, withdrawal of cases against them and release of the community members lodged in jails after their previous agitation are the main demands,Bidhudi said.

“The state government has always misguided Gujjars on the issue. Earlier,Colonel Bainsla led the agitation but people of the community did not avail anything. Now we have decided to form a 31-member committee that will talk with the government and any individual will not talk with the government,” Bidhudi said.
