Centre will provide liberal financial assistance to Jammu and Kashmir for its all round development,especially in the health sector,Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said. Primary and secondary health services and necessary infrastructure would be upgraded on modern lines in all the districts of the state,Azad said at a meeting at Dumhall,80 kms from here,in Anantnag district on Monday. “The Centre is committed to provide basic amenities particularly healthcare,road connectivity,drinking water and telecommunication to the people of the state,” he said at the meeting organised by state Congress leaders to felicitate him on his induction in the Union Cabinet.
On the health infrastructure created in the state during his tenure,the former CM said,”Of the 30 district and sub-district hospitals taken on board for execution,11 were completed during the first year of his chief ministership and the remaining would be completed by the end of this year.”
