Bomb blast in North Bengal

Suspected militants detonated a powerful bomb at Durgabari in Jalpaiguri district. No one was injured in the incident,official sources said.

“The explosion took place near a waterfall at about 11.50 am. But nobody was injured,” IG North Bengal K L Tamta said. Tamta,who is leaving from here to the spot in Kumargram block,said the bomb went off at a place far from the locality.

The type of the explosive materials is still unknown,he said. He denied media reports that a bridge on the Sankosh river was damaged in the explosion.
