Railways restores stoppage of Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat train at this Bihar station
Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express Latest Update: The Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 30, 2022. The train began its commercial run from January 1, 2023.
Vande Bharat Train: The Vande Bharat Express has transformed rail travel in the country. Since its introduction in 2019, these trains have been operating with full pasasenger occupancies. In a recent move, Indian Railways has restored the stoppage of the Howrah–New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express at a station in Bihar. The Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 30, 2022. The train began its commercial run from January 1, 2023.

The Howrah-New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Vande Bharat Express train covers a distance of 562 km in 07:30 hrs. The train is being maintained and operated by the Eastern Railway (ER) zone.
Earlier, train number 22301/22302 halted only at Bolpur Shantiniketan, Malda Town and Barsoi Junction. With the latest change, the train will also stop at Kishanganj railway station in Bihar.
Howrah-NJP Vande Bharat Train Ticket Price
The Howrah-NJP Vande Bharat Express train is composed of 16 coaches. There are two types of seating arrangements: AC Chair Cars and Executive Chair Cars. The ticket price for travelling in an AC Chair Car between Howrah and New Jalpaiguri is Rs 1575. For an Executive Chair Car, this comes up to Rs 2835.
The train number 22301 Howrah-NJP Vande Bharat Express departs from Howrah station at 05:55 hrs and reach New Jalpaiguri station at 13:25 hrs. On its return journey, the train number 22302 NJP-Howrah Vande Bharat Express leaves NJP at 15:00 hrs and reach Howrah at 22:30 hrs.
