Indian Railways Amrit Bharat Trains Launch: Indian Railways (IR) is set to launch two new Amrit Bharat Express trains from Uttar Pradesh. These trains offer a travel experience comparable to the Vande Bharat Express, but are specifically designed to provide affordable service for passengers from lower and lower-middle income category.

Uttar Pradesh to get two new Amrit Bharat Express trains

According to the national transporter, the two new Amrit Bharat Express trains will operate between Banaras and Hadapsar, and Ayodhya Cantt and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT). These train services are expected to further improve rail connectivity between Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.

Banaras-Hadapsar Amrit Bharat Express: Route, Timings, Stops

In a statement, Shashi Kant Tripathi, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), North Central Railway (NCR) said: “The Railway Administration has decided to introduce the new Banaras–Hadapsar–Banaras Amrit Bharat Express (Daily) for the convenience of passengers; the inaugural run of this service will take place from Banaras on April 28, 2026.”

On its inaugural run, the Banaras-Hadapsar Amrit Bharat Express will run as train number 02531. It will depart from Banaras at 16:45 hrs. The train will comprise 22 coaches, including 8 Sleeper Class, 11 General Class, 2 SLR coaches, and 1 pantry car.

Train number 02531 Banaras-Hadapsar Amrit Bharat Inaugural special will halt at 18 stations enroute. These are: Gyanpur Road, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Govindpuri, Orai, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Bina, Rani Kamlapati, Narmadapuram, Itarsi, Harda, Khandwa, Bhusawal, Jalgaon, Manmad, Koparagaon, Ahilyanagar and Daund Chord Line.

Ayodhya Cantt-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai) Amrit Bharat Express: Route, Timings, Stops

“The Railway Administration has decided to operate the new Amrit Bharat Express (Train Nos. 22111/22112) between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Ayodhya Cantt for the convenience of passengers. This service is scheduled to be inaugurated on April 28, 2026, from Ayodhya Dham Station,” the CPRO, NCR said.

On its inaugural run, the Ayodhya Cantt-LTT Amrit Bharat Express will run as train number 02212. It will depart from Ayodhya Dham at 16:45 hrs. The train will comprise 22 coaches, including 8 Sleeper Class, 11 General Class, 2 SLR coaches, and 1 pantry car.

Train number 02212 Ayodhya Cantt-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Amrit Bharat Inaugural special will halt at 12 stations enroute. These are: Sultanpur, Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh, Prayagraj, Manikpur, Satna, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Bhusawal, Jalgaon, Nashik Road, Kalyan and Thane.
