Ahmedabad-Okha Vande Bharat train terminal change: The Railway Board (RB) has approved a new terminal station for the Ahmedabad-Okha Vande Bharat Express. The train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 24, 2023, and was initially launched between Ahmedabad and Jamnagar. Later, on March 12, 2024, the national transporter announced the extension of the service up to Okha, enhancing connectivity to the coastal town.

Ahmedabad-Okha Vande Bharat train gets a new terminal station

Now, more than two years later, the RB has approved a change in the terminal station of the Ahmedabad-Okha Vande Bharat Express. With the revision, the service will be renamed as Sabarmati-Okha Vande Bharat Express. It means this semi-high-speed train will originate and terminate at Sabarmati railway station instead of Ahmedabad railway station in Gujarat. The train is being maintained and operated by the Western Railway (WR) zone.
