Manohar Lal Khattar seeks blessings of party leader L K Advani, Narendra Modi, and Amit Shah at Swearing-in ceremony.
In his first media interaction after taking oath as Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday said his Cabinet has decided to review previous government’s decisions and will scrap those which are not in public interest. “Policies and decisions found to be in public interest shall be followed, the others will be scrapped,” Khattar told the press after his first Cabinet meeting here.
Khattar said the Cabinet has decided to put all the ongoing recruitments and appointments on hold for the time being and shall “re-examine” all of them. He specified that all “re-employments” made during his predecessor Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s regime shall also be “re-examined” and if need be “reversed”. “Cases were re-employed even before being retired shall be re-examined,” the CM said.
He said last-minute decisions of the Hooda government like bringing wages of government employees at par with Punjab government employees and increasing old age pensions will be reviewed. Bupinder Singh Hooda had announced that these schemes would be implemented from November 1.
Khattar said the first Haryana Vidhan Sabha’s session will be held from November 3. Replying to the queries on the probes into land scams in the state, the CM said: “We shall not be vindictive or go on a witch hunt, but all such complaints shall be redressed and law will take its own course”.
