I hear NDA will win 400 seats, but BJP alone will win 370: PM Modi in Madhya Pradesh

For us, the tribal community is the pride of our country and the guarantee of our country’s bright future. Your respect and your development is also Modi’s guarantee,” the PM said.

He also brought up President Droupadi Murmu’s election.

“These people (Congress) come to you to ask for votes from the tribal community, but when a woman from the tribal community contested for the first time for the post of President, the Congress stood like a wall to stop her and defeat her. The country remembers the Congress’s misdeeds. When elections come, they make big announcements, but when Modi builds pucca houses for every poor, Dalit, backward and tribal person, they abuse Modi,” he said.

About the Assembly elections in the state last year, in which the BJP retained power, Modi said the results showed that the people have “already indicated what your mood will be for the Lok Sabha”.

“MP has also shown that public support for the BJP government’s double-engine governments is constantly increasing. That is why this time, the big leaders of the Opposition have already started speaking…They are saying 400+ in 2024…A few days ago, when the Opposition said that they will win 400 seats, I said that I am also hearing that the NDA will win 400 seats, but I am also hearing that the BJP alone will win 370 seats,” Modi said.

He said the mood in Madhya Pradesh was also seen in all parts of India. “I had recently gone to the south. There was a ritual going on for the Ram Temple, and I saw the emotions there. Mothers, sisters, elders, children, youth – it was not my programme, I had gone for my own prayers, but thousands and thousands of people came to bless me… My dear tribal brothers and sisters, Congress was dismissed in 2023 in the Assembly elections, there should be a complete sweep in 2024,” Modi said.

Continuing to target the Congress, the PM said the party was “now stuck in the quagmire of its own sins. The more it tries to get out, the more it will sink.”

“The poor fellows are in trouble. Even the few leaders who are left in the party are not willing to take responsibility. I have heard that there is a lot of infighting going on in the Madhya Pradesh Congress. This is what happens to those who neglect the people,” he said.

“The Congress and its friends now have only two strengths. When they are in power, they loot. When they are out of power, they make people fight. In other words, loot and division are the oxygen of the Congress. As soon as these are stopped, the political power of the Congress party starts to fail. In most states, the people have thrown them out of power and blocked their path of loot. Now, in order to get back their seats, they are trying to divide people on the basis of caste, language and region,” he said.
