Porn films case: SC grants relief from arrest to actor Gehana Vasisht

During Wednesday's hearing on Vasisth's plea challenging a Bombay High Courtorder denying her pre-arrest bail, a bench of Justices S K Kaul and B R Gavai said that the main accused – Kundra and his aide – had already been granted bail.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted protection from arrest to actor Gehana Vasisth accused in a case related to making and distributing pornographic films online – businessman Raj Kundra and his aide was released from prison on Tuesday after being granted bail in connection with the case.

During Wednesday’s hearing on Vasisth’s plea challenging a Bombay High Courtorder denying her pre-arrest bail, a bench of Justices S K Kaul and B R Gavai said that the main accused – Kundra and his aide – had already been granted bail. Issuing notice, the bench ordered “in the meantime, the petitioner be not arrested but shall cooperate with the investigation”.
