The Congress government in Karnataka will await legal opinion from the state’s advocate general and the special public prosecutor to decide on the further course of action in the disproportionate assets case against AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Wednesday.
“The law department is studying the judgment which was delivered only two days ago. As soon as they give us an opinion we will decide on the next legal course of action,’’ the CM said.
“We are not going to be swayed by what DMK says or what AIADMK says. We will go by the legal position in the matter,’’ Siddaramaiah added.
The CM, however, stressed that the state would await the final opinion of legal experts.
