Though the Union government might have decided to keep its first anniversary a low-key affair, the ruling BJP has decided to “take the achievements of Narendra Modi government to four corners of the country”.
The party plans to organise 250 rallies, 500 press conferences and a mega rally which will be addressed by Prime Minister Modi himself.
The rally is likely to be held in Uttar Pradesh, sources said.
BJP national secretary Tarun Chugh said that a ‘Jan Kalyan Parv’ would be held under the leadership of national president Amit Shah. As planned, the programmes would start on May 26 and continue till May 31, he said. Union ministers, BJP’s national office-bearers, MPs and MLAs will address at least three rallies each from May 26 to June 1. There will be one rally in two constituencies.
“The party plans to make people across the country aware about the achievements, good governance and successful completion of first year of the government,” Chugh said.
The plan includes exhibitions to showcase the achievements of the government on May 28 and 29. Celebrities will also be a part of events in big cities in order to spread the messages of “Swachh Bharat” mission and “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas”.
Similarly, a two-day Jan Kalyan Mela would be held on May 30 and 31 in which officials of banks and insurance firms would also be participating.
