Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi Sunday described BJP’s PM candidate Narendra Modi as a “Man Of Damage to India” (MODI) and called BJP as “Bharat Jalao Party”.
He made these taunts in response to Modi’s “RSVP” remark a day ago, taunting the Gandhi family. “Modi, playing divisive politics, belongs to Bharat Jalao Party, and that he is a man who will destroy India,” Singhvi told mediapersons here.
Stating that Modi had nothing to offer to the country, Singhvi said Modi’s politics was founded on “cocktail of crony capitalism and politics of divisiveness, which will damage the country”.
Asserting that Modi was a “dictator, who did not tolerate dissent”, he said Modi wanted to become the prime minister, but did not want to answer questions on the BJP-led NDA’s six-year rule.
He said that Modi always preferred to talk unilaterally. “He has not faced media queries to avoid being exposed,” said Singhvi. Stating that Modi was spreading false propaganda with regard to development of Gujarat, he said states like Maharashtra, Delhi, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Haryana and Goa were on No. 1 position in some parameters of development, in which Gujarat was lagging far behind. Yet the chief ministers of these these states are not going about heaping praises on themselves.
He went on to say that a small state like Haryana bagged 21 gold medals in the Commonwealth Games, Gujarat did not bag a single one.. “Yet, Modi tomtommed himself over organising “khel mahakumbh”, Singhvi said.
