Ramesh Bagwqe of the Congress was trailing in Pune Cantonment, in a shock for the Congress – this was a seat they were certain of winning. BJP’s Madhuri Misal was leading by over 4000 votes in Parvati against the NCP’s Subhash Jagtap, while BJP ‘s Yogesh Tilekar was leading in Hadapsar.

The state went for polling on October 15 for its 288 member assembly. Exit polls have predicted BJP as an emerging party in the state.

Counting will be held across 288 counting centres at 269 locations in Maharashtra. Trends are expected to be available around noon and final results will begin pouring in around 3 pm.
