Pawan Kalyan is Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM, key portfolios for the 3 women ministers

The 55-year-old actor-turned politician won from Pithapuram Assembly constituency in the recently concluded elections.

JanaSena Party (JSP) leader Konidela Pawan Kalyan was named Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Friday with the portfolios of Panchayati Raj and Rural Development and Rural Water Supply with additional charge of Environment and Forests, and Science and Technology.

He was one of the 24 ministers in the N Chandrababu Naidu government who were allocated portfolios Friday.

The 55-year-old actor-turned politician has been elected for the first time to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, winning the Pithapuram seat.

Dr P Narayana, founder of the Narayana Group of educational institutions who was a minister in the TDP government between 2014 and 2019, has again been allocated the portfolios of Urban Development, Municipal Administration.

TDP state president K Atchennaidu has been allocated Agriculture, Cooperation and Marketing. Animal Husbandry, Dairy and Fisheries. He was also a minister in Naidu’s previous Cabinet.

TDP’s national general secretary and Naidu’s son Lokesh has been made for HRD, IT, Electronics and Communications. He held the same portfolios in Naidu’s previous government.

Satya Kumar Yadav, the lone BJP member of the Cabinet, has been given charge of Medical, Health, Family welfare.

The state’s Home Minister will be TDP leader V Anita.

CM Naidu’s son, N Lokesh Naidu, will be IT and Human Resources Development minister.
