Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav Tuesday asked the government when former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and sitting MP Farooq Abdullah would be released from the detention by J&K administration.
Raising the issue of Abdullah’s detention in Lok Sabha during the Question Hour, Yadav said, “Our colleague Farooq Abdullah used to sit with me. When will he come to the House?” However, Speaker Om Birla did not ask the government to reply to his question.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Monday told the Lok Sabha that despite facing a slump in past six quarters, the economy will improve as the seven green shoots are giving positive indications. She also acknowledged the MPs who participated in the discussion of her Budget speech.
The BJP has issued a three-line whip to all its MPs in the Rajya Sabha asking them to be present in the House on Tuesday, ANI reported. The MPs have been told “some very important” legislative work will be brought to the House, discussed and passed. In the Lok Sabha, the Direct Tax Vivad Se Vishwas Bill, 2020, has been listed for passage.
