Continuing his attack on BJP, state cabinet minister and Chief of Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP), Om Prakash Rajbhar, Friday said that the saffron party has suddenly started speaking on the Ram Temple issue only because the 2019 elections are almost here. The SBSP chief also alleged that the saffron party wants to get votes by creating a divide between the Hindus and the Muslims.
“Jab chunao nazdeek aata hai toh Ram ka bharosa badh jata hai… Abhi sab chilla rahe hain, mandir bane, mandir bane, isse pehle nahi chilla rahe the. Ab 2019 aa raha hai (Whenever the elections are near, the issue of Ram temple comes up. When there are no elections, no one remembers Lord Ram),” said Rajbhar.
The BJP does not understand the need for quota within quota, neither does it debates on education, nor holds discussions on unemployment in the state, he said.
“I pray to God that those, who create divide among communities, get killed in riots. But in reality, it is only the poor who die. No politician has been killed for inciting riots in the name of Hindus and Muslims,” he added.
Rajbhar has been targeting its alliance partner BJP over not finalising quota within reservation of backwards and had also held a public meeting in Lucknow recently.
