People’s Conference president Sajad Lone on Thursday said his party will bring or support any resolution brought in the J&K Assembly seeking to restore Article 370.

“If there is a resolution in the Assembly, we will support it. But if no one brings it, then we will bring a resolution. That is just a moral thing, that won’t get it back because only the Parliament can bring it back,” he said. He added that the other part of it was Article 35A — which granted special status to the erstwhile state — and that “some parts” of the provision can be brought back in the Assembly if J&K’s statehood was restored.
