MNS chief Raj Thackeray’s wife gets 65 stitches after dog attack

The family has two dogs — James and Bond. The incident took place minutes before the MNS chief was to hold a press conference.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray’s wife Sharmila underwent surgery after their pet dog bit her face Tuesday evening.

Sources in the MNS said the pet dog, Bond, bit Sharmila on her cheeks after which she had to be rushed to the hospital where she had to undergo emergency plastic surgery and received 65 stitches.

The dog is a Great Dane and is Raj Thackeray’s favourite. The family has two dogs — James and Bond. The incident took place minutes before the MNS chief was to hold a press conference.
