Hailstorm rages standing crop to the ground

Crops of wheat, millet, maize along with vineyards and orange orchards sustained heavy damage due to the hailstorm.

Heavy damage to standing crops have been reported from parts of Vidharbha and other parts of Maharashtra due to exceptionally heavy hailstorms which lashed part of the area over Sunday night. Districts of Nagpur, Wardha, Yavatmal along with areas in Sangli, Solapur had reported incidents of hailstorm.

Crops of wheat, millet, maize along with vineyards and orange orchards sustained heavy damage due to the hailstorm. The hailstorm also caused the death of Prabhakar Telrandhe a farrmer from Nagpur. IMD has issued warning of similar incidents of hailstorms for the next 24 hours as well.
