Police in Madhya Pradesh are conducting pilot testing of artificial intelligence (AI) systems to simulate various scenarios and modernise their training modules, The Indian Express has learnt.

The new training will encompass sophisticated small arms weapon simulators, AI-driven drill instruction systems, and advanced firing range training platforms specifically engineered to address the complex operational challenges faced by security personnel across different environments.

Additional Director General (Training) Raja Babu Singh confirmed the development and said: “We are currently in the pilot testing stage of technological systems that are already in use in the country’s armed forces. We will send a proposal to the state Cabinet for approval. When most of us live and work in the virtual world, we need a new type of policing that is more tech-savvy. The use of modern technology makes police training easier, faster and more result-oriented.”
