Lok Sabha polls: In 7th list, Congress fields 5 more candidates, drops Mani Shankar Aiyar in Tamil Nadu

The Congress Tuesday named five more candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections even as it dropped Mani Shankar Aiyar as its candidate from the Mayiladuthurai constituency in Tamil Nadu.

Aiyar has been replaced by Advocate R Sudha.

The other four candidates listed by the Congress have been fielded from Chhattisgarh. They are — Shashi Singh from Surguja, Menka Devi Singh from Rajgarh, Devender Singh Yadav from Bilaspur and Biresh Thakur from Kanker.
